RI-RA Irish Pub: Way More than Corned Beef and Cabbage

Jan 7, 2010

Atlantic City's Ri-Ra Irish Pub is housed within the Tropicana Casino complex. The Ri-Ra combines a traditional-style Irish pub with just the right amount of fine dining flare. With classic Irish favorites like potato pancakes, fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage, there is no shortage of ethnic eats at Ri-Ra-- but it's the distinct flavors of dishes that you don't see at traditional Irish pubs that really set this American favorite apart from the others.

The atmosphere at Ri-Ra is indulgent and rich, complete with robust carpentry and low lighting that is perfect for a relaxing meal and good conversation. Ri-Ra Atlantic City really is the perfect escape from the bells and buzzers of the casinos.

Start off your Ri-Ra experience with one of the restaurant's fabulous appetizers. Steamed mussels in whiskey garlic butter, herbs and crostini; spicy garlic calamari with marinara and sliced cherry peppers; and pulled brisket sliders with whole grain mustard and potato salad all make great choices to rev-up your taste buds.

Broiled haddock with lemon- crumb topping and parmesan roasted potatoes; lamb stew with celery, carrots, pearl onions and a savory herb stock; Shepherd's pie with fresh beef, vegetables, potato crust and melted cheddar cheese; Irish sausages and mashed potatoes; and a 12 ounce Gaelic hangar steak with mashers, mushrooms and onions all make great dinner selections.

If you'd rather try one of Ri-Ra's delicious burgers or sandwiches, you won't be disappointed with the selection. Try the famous Pub Burger-- your choice of cheese with bacon and Irish rasher, or the Kilcooly-- made with sliced turkey breast, bacon, cheddar cheese, apples, and cranberry mayo on grilled sourdough bread.

Reservations aren't required at Ri-Ra, and dress is casual.
